Born in Biloxi, Mississippi. (best state to jump rope to)

Raised outside Philadelphia. (where I picked up my first camera)

Graduated from University of the Arts with a BFA in Photography. (learned, amongst other things, the aesthetics of photography, not realizing at the time that I craved reality)

Packed my bags, left a note on my parents' kitchen table, hitched a ride to Houston, Texas. I had a dream. I just didn’t know what it was. (fell in love with journalism, and fell in love with my husband, and had my daughter - in that order!)

Found my way back to the East Coast. (had a son, and for the next 10 years I had no sleep)

DIGITAL CAME. (I fought it kicking and screaming. Seriously, plates were thrown and names were called)

I calmed down!

Whether it makes you sad or confused or happy, to make you feel and realize something new is my goal. I want you to see it the way I see it. Remember, enjoying it might not be the purpose.
